Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
This policy explains what happens to information when you use takehomecalcs.com.
The calculator runs in your browser
The salary and other figures you enter are used only to work out your take-home pay on your own device. They are not sent to us, and we do not store or log them.
Theme preference
If you switch between light and dark mode, that single preference is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and contains no personal information.
Advertising
This site may in future show adverts supplied by Google AdSense. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to collect data about your visit — such as pages viewed and general location — to measure and personalise the adverts you see. That is third-party data collection, separate from everything else described in this policy: it is carried out by the ad network, not by us, and we do not control what it collects. You can review and control ad personalisation through Google's Ads Settings. This policy will be updated with the specific ad partners in use before any advertising goes live.
Consent, if you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
Google requires publishers to obtain consent from visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland before showing personalised ads, using a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) that follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. If advertising is switched on, visitors from those regions will first see a consent banner where you can accept, decline, or manage advertising cookies before any are set. No such banner is live yet, because no advertising is live yet — this section will be updated with the CMP in use before that happens.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Any such data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Your choices
Because the calculator stores none of your inputs, there is nothing for us to delete. You can clear the saved theme preference by clearing your browser's storage for this site. If advertising and a consent banner go live, this section will explain how to change your ad consent choice — see "Consent, if you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland" above.
